Amboseli National Park Flooding at Ambosli is a relatively recent phenomenon, beginning around 1992, and is thought to be due to permanent settlement and errosion around Ambosli. 2019 saw extreme flooding which closed the airport and viewing roads. These elephants are grazing close to what used to be Ambosli Lodge, now a decaying ghost town of a resort.
